Everything you might want to know about a bespoke LED screen, from pixel pitch and brightness to the control app, warranty and what it costs. If your question is not here, just ask.

01

The Screens

What does Neon Guys Digital actually make?

Bespoke LED digital screens for real spaces: feature walls, counter tickers, window displays and statement installations for shops, restaurants and public attractions.

Every screen is designed around your space and your idea. We handle the whole thing under one roof: design, the metal framework, install, the control system and ongoing support.

Bespoke or off-the-shelf?

Bespoke is our speciality, but we can supply standard screens too. Most of what we do is bespoke: we choose the LED panels, the processing and the framework to suit your space, your brightness needs and the look you are after, then build it to fit.

With a bespoke fit-out no two installs are the same, and the screen becomes part of the room rather than a box bolted to a wall. If a standard, off-the-shelf screen is the right answer for your budget, we will happily supply and install that instead.

What is pixel pitch, and which do I need?

Pixel pitch is the gap between LEDs, measured in millimetres. A smaller number means a tighter, sharper image and a screen you can stand closer to. A P1.9 wall looks crisp up close, a P3.9 outdoor screen is built to be read from further back.

You do not need to know the number. Tell us where the screen sits and how close people get, and we pick the pitch that looks right for the money.

Will it be bright enough behind glass or in daylight?

Yes. Brightness is chosen for the setting, a shopfront in direct sun needs far more output than an interior feature. We spec the panels for your worst-case light so the screen never looks washed out.

Is this suitable for a shop, restaurant or attraction?

That is exactly what we build for. Retail feature walls and window displays that turn footfall into dwell time, ambient and feature screens for hospitality, and statement pieces for attractions where the screen is the draw.

02

Design, Install & Control

What is the process, from idea to live screen?

It starts with your concept or design. From there it is one team through five stages: feasibility and engineering, fabrication, install and commissioning, then the control system. If you only have a rough idea, we will help shape it into a workable design first.

You approve the design and renders before anything is built, so there are no surprises when it goes on the wall.

How long does a project take?

It depends on the size and complexity, but a typical feature runs a few weeks from approved design to a live screen. Bespoke framework and manufacture is the longest lead item, so the sooner the design is signed off, the sooner we can build.

If you have a fixed opening date, tell us early and we will plan the programme around it.

Who does the install?

Our own installers, not a subcontractor. We are Manchester based and work nationwide. Structural mounts, cabling, power and commissioning are all handled by the same team that designed the screen.

How do staff run content once it is live?

We build the control system on the NovaStar platform and wrap it in a simple web app your team actually uses. From a phone or laptop they can change the everyday content, schedule messages and react to what is happening on the floor, a product launch, a birthday, a promotion, in a couple of taps.

No AV engineer required. If you would rather we manage the content for you, that is an option too.

Can it play our own graphics, menus or video?

Yes. The screen can run scrolling text, menus, motion graphics, video and attention effects. We set it up around how you want to use it and show your team how to drive it.

03

Support, Warranty & Cost

What warranty do I get?

A standard 1 year parts warranty on the hardware, with extended cover available. Warranty covers manufacturing defects and parts.

Note that warranty is separate from a service agreement: the warranty covers the kit, an ongoing plan covers response times, monitoring and support.

Do you offer ongoing support and monitoring?

Yes, as an optional managed service. That can include proactive monitoring, firmware and calibration, preventive checks and priority response, billed monthly or annually.

Every install comes with a basic level of support as standard. The managed plan is for clients who want us keeping the screen alive without them thinking about it.

What does a screen cost?

It is bespoke, so it varies with size, pixel pitch and how involved the framework and install are. As a rough guide, supplied and installed LED runs from around 4,000 pounds per square metre, with fine-pitch retail hero walls higher.

The honest answer is that we would rather look at your space and give you a real number. Start a conversation and we will come back with an indicative budget quickly.

How do I get started?

Tell us about your space and what you are imagining. We will tell you what is possible, roughly what it takes, and where the screen would land. No commitment, just the start of a conversation.

Beyond Neon. Into Motion.
